During this exciting time in your child's development, they will be introduced to many concepts and challenged academically.  The base curriculum that is used at this level is the A-Beka K4 curriculum.  This curriculum will provide opportunities for your child to learn the following:

Phonics and Reading (Group and Individual)

• Recognition of long and short vowels and consonants. Incorporating the name, sound, and a word for each letter

• Sounding of blends and one-and-two vowel words

• Reading of sentences and stories with one-and-two vowel words

Writing

• Formation of letters, blends and words

• Writing of first and last name

​

Numbers

• Number recognition and counting 1-100

• Number concepts 1-20

• Numbers before and after 1-20

• Numbers largest to smallest 1-20

• +1 Addition Facts

Language

• Language development and listening skills that include color word, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners and science

Arts and Crafts

• Development of motor skills in drawing, coloring, cutting and gluing

​

Bible

• Lessons taught on Creation, Noah, Samuel, Daniel, Boyhood of Jesus, Zacchaeus and the Good Samaritan

• Memorizing 26 Bible Verses
